Description:
I am currently working on web-privacy research under Professor Rachel Greenstadt and Ritik Roongta, specifically the impact of ad-blocking extensions on web applications. We aim to unveil the adverse consequences these extensions have, including performance issues and visual disruptions. I am currently working on developing a webscrapper to measure these effects.

Title: Cybersecurity Intern

Description:
This summer, I worked as a cybersecurity intern at Textron Systems , a defense contractor. Through working at Textron, I was able to achieve an active security clearance and expand my network with many federal cybersecurity professionals. During my time there, I worked closely with system administrators and information system security officers on honing my skills in network security and system maintenance. This experience was the perfect stepping stone for my career aspirations, as I learned to navigate the complexities of safeguarding classified data and the real-world implications of cybersecurity breaches on a national level.

Achievements:
  • Preformed SCAP, Nessus, Splunk scans/monitoring
  • Wrote Powershell and Python scripts to remotely grab information off of a computers; script will be used for auditing and patching outdated software.
  • Rotational shadowing of ISSOs, ISSMs, ISSEs, and System Administrators.
  • Developed table top security exercises to test company’s security policies and procedures on data spillage.
  • Software configuration, tracking, licensing, and updating of company database to accurately track software and hardware changes on classified programs; Collected 5+ Certificates of Volatility; saved company over $20,000
